A table like this runs on trust. Here is what we promise you, what we ask of you, and how we keep what you share.
Our Promise
What you can count on.
Our promise to you
We do not promise you better results, a bigger business, or a solved problem. Outcomes belong to God, and the decisions remain yours.
Here is what you can count on:
- We will tell you the truth in love, including what you would rather not hear.
- We will hold Christ, not results, at the center.
- We will ask before we advise.
- We will keep what you say here.
- We will not use you, sell to you under the cover of ministry, or build anything on your participation.
- We will follow up on what you said you would do.
You bring honesty, presence, and follow-through.
What members commit to
Every member makes the same commitments, so everyone at the table can count on each other.
- Be there every month. Two and a half hours, in person. If you can't come, tell us ahead of time.
- Sign the covenant, and keep it. It's signed before your first confidential session.
- Bring real decisions. Not updates or highlight reels: the things you're actually carrying.
- Do what you said. Or own honestly why you didn't.
- Never sell at the Table. No pitching, soliciting, or recruiting. Teaching is welcome. Offering is not.
How we keep what you share
What is shared at the Table stays at the Table. If you say keep it secret, we keep it safe. Not with spouses, not with business partners, not as a prayer request somewhere else, and not in an edited or anonymous version.
Confidentiality has limits, and we tell you them before you share anything. The Table is not legal, financial, clinical, or crisis care. If something comes up involving abuse, danger, someone getting hurt, or something the law requires us to report, we won't keep it inside the room. We'll help get you or the person at risk to the right help, and we'll tell you before we act.
Breaking confidentiality means leaving the membership. We say it now so it's never a surprise.
Visitors agree to keep anything personal they hear to themselves.
What we will never do
- Sell to you at the Table, or let anyone else.
- Turn what you share into content. Not a story, an example, or a post, even with your name removed.
- Pass your contact information or participation to anyone else: not churches, partners, sponsors, or other members without your permission.
- Charge you without your agreement. Stewards Table is free. If modest dues are ever introduced, members will be told in writing first, and no one will be charged without agreeing.
- Make it hard to leave. You can step away at any time by telling a facilitator.
If we fall short
We will sometimes get it wrong. If you have a concern about the Table, a member, or a facilitator, write to connect@stewardstable.com or tell a facilitator directly. If your concern is about Sage, Bryan C. receives it: ask any facilitator to put you in touch. Every concern gets a real answer.
